My complaint:

My name is Raquel Solomon, 240-476-1365, rcgsolomon07@gmail.com.

My mom and I just shopped at Zara (Montgomery Mall) Bethesda MD and this is my first time filing a complaint about one of your associates.
My mom and I are browsing at your store
when my mom accidentally dropped a cloth, I was about to pay
when I heard the associate said my mom
you’re making a disaster!. I turned around and asked what did she mean
by that? She then asked me if my mom speaks English because she was just kidding and said she’s arranging the clothes and just doing her job. I told the associate that she shouldn’t be saying that whether she’s joking or not. I told her I understand that’s her job but telling my mom she’s making a disaster is rude and not professional. I told her I don’t appreciate the way she talked to my mom. She said that was just a remark and we did not understand the word
“disaster”. What?!

I talked to the manager of the store (Jessie?), she said sorry but it wasn’t a sincere apology. When I asked the associate’s name, she said
she’s not supposed to give her name. Today is my mom’s birthday and that experience ruined our day.

It’s not about race or culture. It’s about being nice to one another especially when you’re in a customer service.

Suggested solution:

This is not acceptable and I felt that we were racially profiled. I don't feel comfortable shopping at that location until I know actions are being taken.
