Whataburger complaint: Too long to wait

My complaint:

At 12:03 pm I was at your store on university avenue crossroads, texas. When I entered I noticed only 3 tables with customers and 4 cars in the drive through. I placed my order of one whataburger with cheese, medium fries and a small drink. I was customer 15 with order number 241927. The male employee that waited on me was named Zaire S. This employee had dreadlocks across his entire face and hanging down to his nose. I was so taken back by his appearance that I stared at him for about two seconds to be sure of what I was seeing. I received my table placard and I went to my table to wait. While I was waiting I observed another customer also waiting ( placard number 20 ) and a table of 5 young gentlemen that came in after I sat down. At 12:12 pm Zaire brought part of the order that the five young men had ordered. I looked at table number 20 with an inquisitive look as to say, where is your order? You were here before they were or me. He gave me an exasperated look and just shook his head in frustration. As Zaire began walking toward the the front I said,” Hey pal, where is is my order?” He glanced at my ticket and said, “ it ought to be here any second” I replied, “It ought to have been here before now” I then also asked “where is the tray that was supposed to be at my table?” Zaire replied,”we don’t have any trays “ I pointed at a table on the far side of the room that did have trays and asked,” where did they get a tray? Did they bring it with them? He didn’t reply. At 12:18 my order was brought to my table in a paper bag. I said “where is my tray?” I was again told that they didn’t have any trays. I replied to the female employee that brought my order, “you mean to tell me this store only has those three used trays over there on the waste can? “ She didn’t reply. I then got up to go to the order desk and said to the table with placard number 20,” This is bullshit” I went to the order desk and said to Zaire, “ I want a tray and I want it right now” He replied,” we don’t have any” I replied,” well, go find one. Do it now”. I said, you mean to tell me this restaurant only has 4 trays? You better go get some” I returned to my table and I asked the customer at table number 20, “How long have you been waiting?” He replied ,20 minutes” Less than a minute later a female employee brought me a tray. She said “ I’m sorry for the wait “ With that, the customer with placard 20 saw that you have to assert yourself here and went to the counter and I overheard him say, “I want my order now, where is it?” He returned to his table and within a few seconds his order was delivered with a tray. I looked at him and “ The squeaking wheel always gets the grease”

Suggested solution:

First of all, the only person I saw wearing a mask or any hairnet was a white 30-40 year old that perceived to possibly be the manager. Those other employees all wore a mask around their chin. Quite effective if that’s where they breathed from. Second, if you are going to hire someone that is the first person that the public sees, you are hurting yourself if that person looks like a gangbanger. Tighten your appearance standards. Third, when you have napkin dispensers that are empty and look like that have been used in a fight, you aren’t doing your job. After I placed my order I looked for a napkin dispenser but only found the one that I described. I had to go to the far side of the room to get some napkins that were left by a previous customer. Overall, I would say this store is in need of a shakeup in personnel, general store conditions and it wouldn’t hurt to better train your employees.
