My complaint:

I was insulted, harassed, and threatened over the phone by a staff member who identified themself as a “pharmacy operations manager” by the name of La Shonda. They did not work with me to get this prescription filled and threatened to further withhold my medication from me. This is for a non-controlled substance on both a federal level as well as within the state of Colorado.

La Shonda accused me of lying, having an attitude problem for saying “ma’am the last time I picked up this medication was over 30 days ago,” and told me they would need to open up a case and check the security footage. It was absolutely humiliating and this is for a non controlled but absolutely crucial medication of which I am taking a ridiculously low dose anyways. I am now out of medication, unable to get my overdue refill, and am terrified to go back here or call again out of fear of receiving more distrusting abuse from this individual. I am filing a report with the Colorado department of agencies and BOP. In the meantime I have to now change pharmacies and that will not happen until everything is open again in 4 days. I will have to miss Christmas with my family because I am unable to function without my meds. This person has halted my care plan and ability to feel well in my body until I can scramble to figure out where else to go. This is so unacceptable I am entirely unable to understand how this person is employed by Walgreens and allowed to act this way to pharmacy patients. I will however dedicate a lot of time trying to figure it out and making sure it doesn’t happen to others.
