My complaint:

Disabled. Amazon told me to go to UPS Store to get a box from an item that sent a box in undeliverable condition. I went to the UPS store at 3966 Atlanta Highway 36109. When I arrive at the store there was a car playing search loud aggravating bass sound that shook the ground I could not hear or answer The phone. I told him to close down the loud noise. They were parked in the handicap spot in front of the UPS store. I had no clue the ominous acting people who worked at the UPS store. When I come in the store no one was at the counter. I saw three people sitting and one standing in the back of the store. The female talked at me and said can I help you. She’s slowly walks up to the counter and I explain I am disabled. Yes I am talking she closes her eyes and just stands there. I respond and say are you asleep did you fall asleep are you OK? She just stood there ignoring me. I then said do you need help? I made a specific point about her behavior that she then said oh there’s something on my glasses. Obviously this was a lie and an excuse. So then I explain to her what AMAZON told me to do. In a sarcastic voice she said we charge for the boxes. And I explain to her that I was just repeating what I was told by AMAZON. Then all of a sudden the tall mail comes to the front and repeat what she said. I looked at him and said yes I understood what she said. I have more than barely a high school education. I have many honorable degrees and I understand what is told to me. Then I proceeded to explain the reason that I said I was disabled is because the items needed to be shipped back were put in the car for me and I needed someone to help get them out to get them boxed. So with a negative face and slow movement the female goes to get the three items. She takes them to the back of the store I am guessing To get a box. The third woman begins to help the customers coming in and was extremely polite and extremely helpful to them. Once they left she makes a comment that the other woman had a problem with her glasses didn’t I hear that. I hadn’t said nothing to this woman. I responded by saying that I would not let it go about her rude demeanor and behavior and that is why she tried to excuse it off by saying it was her glasses. And then she started cleaning them. I said you don’t stand there and close your eyes and ignore the customer if the glasses are the issue I need to be clean. The woman did not say another word. Obviously a negative attitude and unprofessional behavior and treatment of customers is the norm. I drive a 2000 cavalier. I only need a car to get me from point A to point B. They, judging me by my car, judged incorrectly. However to speak to me as an elementary child with no training is unnecessary to any customer. I was not only insulted by one, but by all three. My function in life is not to be the whipping stick for disgruntled Employees. I have been a UPS customer for years. My son worked at the UPS facility in Montgomery. These three individuals had no right or any reason to treat me in such an insulting and indifferent way. I ask that you please not allow these so-called employees of UPS to ever treat anyone as I was treated. When I came home and discussed it with my son, he said that the people playing the loud bass in the handicapped parking space was probably friends of the people that work at that UPS building. That is it A good sign. I do not need to hear excessive loud offensive bass music or whatever it is called. Those actions are against the law, antisocial, rude, dangerous, and not acceptable. The behavior of the employees at the UPS store was unacceptable. Apparently they make their own rules as to how they treat the customers. Please I do not ever want to know if this happens again. Thank you very much. Linda Ann Reynolds, Ed. S., former licensed Educator, Masters Level Social Worker, Family Counselor, Advocate.

Suggested solution:

These three employees paid by UPS owe me a great apology. They also need to assure me that I will always be treated kindly and with respect when I come to a UPS store. They need training about how to treat all customers and how to behave appropriately. They are not the Wolfpack. They are employees of UPS paid to help the needs of all customers who come.
