TravelUp complaint: Change of dates due to Covid restrictions

My complaint:

My friend and I have booked a trip to Antigua because they had no charges for covid related changes. After Omnicron the entry requirements to Antigua changed, and we could not entry. We contacted Travelup since 22 Dec 2021 to try and change the dates, but they said we have to pay £267.80 for the change even though they said they will wave the change charge. The dates we wanted to change to was the exact price. We could never got a clear answer as to what the £267.80 was for. And they stringed us alone for almost a month. Then they said that if this is not resolved before departure date, which is 22 Jan 2022, we will loose our money. After numerous calls and emails, they told us today, that they will cancel our booking and make this an open booking until 5 Aug. And they will wave the fees, but we will still have to pay £75 service fee. We accepted the open booking, but we do not accept the £75 service fee, as this was a covid related change. We also asked for a voucher, to which they have still not ansered.

Suggested solution:

Give us a full refund, as we do not trust this company anymore. Or a free date change without any additional charges, except for possible higher ticket price
