My complaint:
I purchased a navigation device in June this year, after 2 months it stopped charging. So curry’s sent it to TomTom for repair. Upon sending it back TomTom lost my device. Upon contacting tom Tom about this they replaced mine with a second hand dirty repaired device. No screen mount or charger lead. I asked them why I had been sent a repaired device and were was the rest of the product.
I’ve had nothing but trouble since trying to get this issue resolved. If I’d wanted a second hand device I would have bought one off Facebook marketplace for around £150. But as I thought pay the full £259 and get a new one. I can’t use my device as I don’t know if it works and I can’t hold it in my hands whilst driving. The customer service from TomTom is totally unacceptable and they do not have the intention of the customer.
Suggested solution:
I think as my device was brand new when they lost it it should have been replaced with a new device in a box like I’d purchased with all that comes with one when new. As that’s how I sent mine to them. Mine still had the screen sticker on it. And as mine stopped working after 2 months of purchased it was also sold as faulty. I can’t give a minus on the star rating so have to offer a 1. But I think it’d be more like minus 5 stars.
