My complaint:
I am transgender person with double masters from NYU with good GPA and scholarships there and from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. I had medical trauma that gave mobility disability with numerous falls including one where I fractured a Lumbar in spine due to degenerative disease of the spine with ataxia. Guards were picking on me calling me a liar and other. Told staff and one said they would talk with them. Told me I had to leave for six hours and go to Mary Joes but could not get there with bags, ice, and Tennies. Trauma gave flashbacks, then they wouldn’t even let me sit near door to keep out of rain, books were getting wet, and I was freezing. Went back in and guard to a hold of me causing me to fall on back where I fractured spine before. This gave extreme flashbacks of previous fall with fractured spine where I still have pain when physical stress. They called police and took me to HCMC and had more panic. Now in HCMC crisis center 1800 Chicago Ave, largely thanks to That Salvation Army in Minneapolis. Officer Star took me to hospital and Arriel Miller has transcripts of my education so they cannot call me a liar and treat me as ignorant. Liar. But am extremely angry and I think rightfully so, for that guard could have extremely physically hurt me but only re-traumatized my PTSD with flashbacks.
Suggested solution:
Recognized that sometimes people with high education do end up there. And if they say they have a physical disability never tease them, call them a liar and especially never throw them on the floor.
I want an official apology. and never do this again to other residents for I seen them throw others out Ruthlee and if they have fragile bones, they could get injured. Come to my crisis center and give apology at 1800 Chicago. i will be here for another week then to the crisis house for 90 days.,
