My complaint:

Today is August 22, 2022. I normally receive my senior box the second week of the month. I called to see if the box was there to be picked up and heard a recording stating the office would be closed from August 1st to August 5th, and if pantry items were needed to contact other places, and a list of places were provided. Nothing was said about the senior boxes. Since August 5th I have been calling every day only to hear the same recording. I called the thrift store and talked to the warehouse manager, who was extremely rude. I advised him he did not need to be so rude and hateful to which he replied he wasn’t. He stated the social service workers were at Campbell’s Creek assisting people who were in a flood. The Campbell’s Creek area should not require their assistance now. I have family at Campbell’s Creek. I understand the Salvation Army assists where needed, but to leave the people of Charleston without help is not what they are supposed to do. I am not the only person who has not received their senior box. The boxes come from the federal government. If I do not have my box before the end of August, I will file a complaint with the feds.

Suggested solution:

I want someone to contact me to explain why no one is in the office to assist the citizens in Charleston. I want my senior box.
