On September 9,2020 we purchased a stove, frig, dishwasher and microwave with a estimated delivery date of October 27, 2020. Few days before we received email saying they were on schedule. We got everything ready moved furniture etc. We were scheduled between 12 and 4. At 1 received phone call saying they were running behind and might not be there till after 4. Then 15 minutes later got a call saying they were on there way Nope only the dishwasher rest was on different truck. 10 minutes later a call saying address was wrong yep Home Depot didn’t type half the address. When service man (who was very nice) arrived he said I should call to have the address corrected which I attempted to do. The man was very rude and refused to do it and said don’t worry they will deliver to the right place. At 5 minutes to 4 we received phone call saying that the truck broke down and they could not deliver till next Tuesday (1 week). I told them this was unexpectable as I had contractors coming on Monday and this needed to be in for them to do there work. I was told sorry nothing I can do….. I went on to say this can’t happen as we will be waiting till March 2021 due to Cov19 to get out kitchen done and I was spending thousands of dollars on this Sorry nothing we can do….I put my husband on as I was so pissed and this man was upsetting me so much I thought I was going to have a heart attack….Well he told my husband he could move some things around and deliver on Thursday……Thursday morning I have email they will be delivered today. I call number and lady says yes between 8 and 12:30. At 12:30 I call and after being on hold off and on for over 1 hour I am told they are on the wrong truck and can’t be delivered today and they have no idea when. Once again we go round and round and he tells me finally he will move things around and I will be the first stop tomorrow at 7am. Stay tuned as I do not see this happening I am selling my frig and that lady is pissed and might back out so t hat’s money lost. I have moved my furniture out of the way twice. Have to go out to each as we disconnected everything. Neighbor watching dog and no one gives a shit…The guy at HD says it’s not his fault it’s the trucking company well HELLO HD contracts with the trucking company.
My first suggestions would be to get a new place to deliver your stuff. Second would be some better customer service and some sort of apology
Then compensation like a nice gift card one for HD and one for a nice dinner no one should spend over $5000.00 and have this much aggregation. .
