Texas Roadhouse complaint: Bad food bad service

My complaint:

I have never left a negative review in my life and I do realize that this is not a Michelin star restaurant, but dear me. I also think that you can expect some sort of standards when you go out to eat. Unfortunately, the standard at this restaurant was very poor. Where do I start? We called ahead to get on the waiting list. There was 8 of us dining. We were celebrating my granddaughters 8th and wife’s birthday. Having entered the restaurant, we had to wait for several minutes to be greeted and seated. Even though it said our seats were ready. The hostess said hi to us, or should I say to my daughter in-law only, in a very unprofessional, manner. She took us to our table. It was a very long rectangle thing, extra table, and two extra chairs at the end. There was not much space for anything, and only about 20cm away from another table. so actually we might as well join the tables together if we go next time (I don’t think so !). She forgot to bring butter with the rolls, and my wife asked for regular butter. The menus very ABSOLUTELY disgusting, covered in grease and all sorts of dirt with the plastic peeling away from the paper . We ordered our drinks, and again asked for butter. Soon enough the ‘over enthusiastic’ waitress came back to take our orders, more rolls in hand, no butter. My wife had ask for regular butter (3) times and after asking the manager it came. AND I AM NOT JOKING ! My wife actually got up herself and got the cinnamon butter, so the rest of the table could eat their rolls.The onion bloom, I had as my starter, was nothing more than an uncooked onion in the center…. we actually got our appetizers before the butter finally arrived at our table. We ordered our mains and ta dah! they arrived. Surprisingly quick service?We had steak, all were ordered med rare. seriously. Mine was MOOING, my DAUGHTER INLAW steak was SHOE LEATHER. My sons was over cooked but edible. There was no taste to it at all, and there was no salt or pepper on the table, so you had to try your hardest to attract someone’s attention to get a bit of salt, which took a while. Honestly, I never complain in a restaurant, because I used to work as a waitress myself, so I know what its like sometimes, but for god’s sake, if you charge people, and quite a bit of money, you must give something back. The whole thing was a bit like a fast – food restaurant focused on quantity rather than quality Im afraid, the whole time I sat inches from another person, and could hear the entire conversation that the other couple was having, plus smell there food. I strongly suggest to have less tables there, and give people a bit of privacy when eating and talking and trying to enjoy a meal out. I will never go there again !!! It was terrible !!!Don’t be fooled, this place has nothing to do with STEAK, and the service was very poor. Chipotle, would have been a better choice ! A BUST FOR WIFE AND GRAND DAUGHTER BIRTHDAY. The waitress said the manager was going to come and talk to us after waiting 20 minutes and the kids getting cranky and wanting to leave. We got up and left no manager in sight. We paid our $150 bill and walked out not happy at all.
