My complaint:

Good Morning,

I am writing in regards an issue that I had in one of your stores: Clifton lane, Nottingham NG11 8NA.

Yesterday 290921 I went to this petrol station to get fuel in my tank since I was in reserve and in the last few days I wasn’t able to do so because of the long queues.

I saw people getting their fuel so I decided to stop by but a member of staff told me to move the car because there was no fuel left while in front of me I could see people getting PETROL IN THEIR CARS.

I was in uniform but I had to inform the staff member that I was a nurse and I showed that I was in RESERVE. Also I have informed him that I needed petrol since I live a good few miles away and no other petrol stations on route. I work 20 Kilometres away. He looked at the dashboard in my car and after seeing I was in RESERVE he told me that I had enough petrol to get home. I told him that as key worker I should have had a bit of support from them and he said that everyone is a key worker and if he served me than he had do it for everyone.

Is that to say they actually they had fuel but not distributing it? Meanwhile in front of me a man walked away from the station with 2 cans full of petrol.

I decided to leave without complaining further and I saw that he allowed a car behind me to get their fuel.

I don’t know if you really care about this issue, but honestly I had to ride a bike today to get to work which took me an hour and a half as no bus connections either as well as look for a petrol station with fuel for me to load it in to my 5 litre can and carry it back home after shift.

I understand these last few days your staff working in petrol stations have been subjected to a lot of stress and most likely abuse from a lot of angry people so I understand that they might feel tired and had enough but that does not justify being rude and talking to people like they are rubbish.

I was at that point quite desperate as I was running out of fuel after trying 3 different stations but at any point have I was rude or disrespectful to your staff, I was looking for an explanation which I would have accepted if provided.

Please understand that I am not complaining to you about the lack of fuel, but the attitude of the staff.

I really hope you will be able to answer to this complaint.

Looking forward to hearing for you.

Regards

Fabio Ricci
