My complaint:

I have been a Straight Talk customer in good standing for over ten years. My account is currently paid through Apr. 16, 2024. On 8/23, my phone service was deactivated without my knowledge or permission. I learned it was deactivated after not connecting when dialing numerous outgoing calls. I used a friend’s phone to call Straight Talk customer service about the loss of service. The customer service representatives told me the service was deactivated but would only explain why if I provided a PIN or password or correctly answered security questions. I provided all of the requested information but was told it failed and was disconnected. I repeatedly called customer service, attempting to access my account, but I could not. I was repeatedly promised a resolution but instead ignored and handed off to another representative who again would emphatically tell me that my problem would be resolved! However, one customer service person mentioned the deactivation was due to a reversed bank payment, and if I paid it, my service would be reactivated. I checked my accounts, but none had changed or disputed charges with Straight Talk or anyone else. I have spent nearly two days trying to get answers, lost $1000 in wages, and been severely inconvenienced. I consider the deactivation without explanation or proof of unlawful interference with my service.

Suggested solution:

I want an apology and to have my account activated.
