My complaint:
While checking out my over priced Stop Shop items at self checkout an employees came over, folder her arm and glared at me while checking out. I asked her, can I help you? Instead of just walking away she verbally harassed me claiming that management forced her ridiculous behavour. She grabbed my receipt and with a scowl, examining to make sure I didn’t steal anything. Mind you I am 69 yrs old elderly person. Im sure she was disappointed to discover that I wasn’t a shop lifter and didn’t steal one of their 10 cent flimsy paper bags that they charge people for. I will NEVER enter that store again. If they are so concerned Stop Shop should consider hiring check out people instead of replacing them with a machine.
Suggested solution:
Hire more checkout people instead of policing their customers and treating them like criminals.
