Shoppers Drug Mart complaint: checking out

My complaint:

First of all, I have been a customer for many years joined the Optimum Program when it first came out. I shop at SDM at least once or twice a month; most often at the previous location given. They renovated the whole store not long ago; even though it was not the best to get around then, I still went there. Then, last month,(I always take my own bags); I took in one bag, ended up needing two. After checking out, the cashier said we have no bags, we are waiting on cloth ones to come in. I was able to manage my purchases, but the customer behind me had a number of items, and no bags, so I don’t know how she make out! This past Wed., Feb. 22, I was again at the store (thankfully, my son – chaufeur) was with me). When we went to check out, there was a sign saying cash only, so you were forced to doing self-check out. The girl was busy with others.
I am nearly 90 with AMD, so, thankfully, my son did this, but I had a coupon for the Preservision, then had to wait for a cashier to process that, so in time, that was looked after. I know they are willing to help you check out, but that takes time, as the girls are busy with otherj customers. As far as I can tell, people now, seldom carry cash, and say they always use their cards for everything. I do carry some, but not nearly enough to cover my purchases at SDM. I know a lot of seniors shop at your stores, and I wonder how they feel about these changes.
