My complaint:
I had purchased tomatoes in a package. Tried to return them due finding a rotten tomato in the middle. As I was at the store after 6pm. The cashier would not allow myself to exchange or return a 1.50 purchase. As I precluded to purchase another package without the return .
The cashier after ringing up my items asked me if I wanted a bag I stated no as I had begun to pay the cashier asked if I was paying with a EBT card. I found that offensive . Having Pride in purchasing they should not have spoken that out loud. If I did have a card I am sure I possibly would have said something. They didn’t see that I had a bank debit card.
The cashier appeared agitated as I was due to their question. I showed or asked nothing about an EBT card.
I felt like First I should been able to exchange the tomatoes even though I didn’t have a receipt. I had bought them for my business and had to turn the receipt into my accountant.
Customer service should be friendlier than I received.
Suggested solution:
How ever they feel necessary. I lost some dignity. Lost of a purchase.
Time away from and they lost a customer
You decide how you want to reconcile a return of a customer.
