My complaint:

1. Cashier has no cash available for cash back. Need to change policy instead of blaming customer for unreasonable request by cashier, specifically one cashier.

2. Only two cashier isles open during Wednesday senior day. Regular isle had no cash available for cash back, so the Express isle/cashier checked her till and had cash and signaled the customer to proceed to her Express isle to be checked out. She saw the customer/me had a full cart. The other cashier came over to the customer after most of Herr grocery was rung up and informed her that she should not have gone to the Express isle and that I could wait until provisions could be made. The cashier comment was made with great embarrassment to the customer in front of other customers. It is not the the customers fault that only two isles were open during a busy time where seniors shop on discount day.

3. Starbucks is out of stock alot. A week ago was Lemonade, this week, it is whip cream and Sprinkles. Good thing we will have another Starbucks in Parker.

4. Some Safeway employees are very friendly and it is a pleasure to buy my groceries and Starbucks treat at the Parker, AZ store, but it only takes a few Safeway employees to make customer feel that it is the customer’s fault when things don’t go right. I ask that management need to look at their policies and advise their employees.

5. Mentioned to cashier that corn was on sale, managers special, cashier said it would ring correctly at the end. It did not, and since I live 1 hour away, more times than not I just absorb the overcharge because it would cost more in gas to request the reimbursement.

Suggested solution:

Have cash available for cash back or change policy not to provide cash back.

As a Safeway employee, do not complain to a customer in front of other customers to embarrass her, especially when all information is not known, such as the Express cashier signaled her to proceed to her register.

Have more cash register isles open during busy senior discount day.

Have enough Starbucks stock on hand, missing sales opportunity when consistently running out of stock.

Parker store has the mindset that it is always the customers fault, a shift in mindset needs to occur to improve customer service. Note; not all employees are like that, some are very nice and helpful.

Cashiers need to make sure when customer make comments on discounts, they check at the end that the register processed correctly.
