My complaint:

Back in 2016, I had chosen to stay at a Residence inn till I could find more permanent housing. I stay there from August 01, 2016 to September 23, 2016. I had only planned to be there a couple of weeks but could not find housing right away so I extended my time. When I would discuss my extended time with the office I was never told that my rate would change or that it would increase at all. The money I had used was some back child support that I had received in the amount of $30,000. The receipts I had received from the hotel were not following in line with the rate I had initially discussed with the front person that had checked me in. I had actually received a receipt at the end of each week which with had a certain total on it and it was different from the one that the front desk clerk sent to me after I attempted to dispute the charges. It had looked as if on certain days I was charged $20 – $40 more and that also I was double charged for other days. When I had disputed the charges with my bank, the bank rep had contacted the hotel, which the hotel person they spoke with denied the charges and weren’t going to further investigate my dispute. The bank rep had conferences my call with hotel rep and she was saying to me that I was well aware of the charges. I had never had that happen. I did call in again did dispute the charges again but I could not get all the charges reversed because even though my account had been hit I could find the transactions that had been charged to my account. It didn’t make sense to me and due their charges it had left me without any money, which I had no where to go with my youngest son, who was 13 at the time. I actually had to put a title loan on the car I had just bought with that money, just to find another place to live. I did try other avenues to put a complaint in but no resolve. I also, received an email from the hotel manager saying the same thing that the hotel rep had said about me knowing about the charges. She was very rude and I regret not filling charges against the residence inn.

Suggested solution:

Would like a better investigation on this and would like the money that they took refunded back to me.
