Qatar Airways complaint: Poor customer service

My complaint:

I recently had a flight from ISB to SEA and during check-in I’ve upgraded my seat to business class. The amount was ly charged but the seats were not upgraded. I called the support line several times, each time getting a different answer. The support people don’t know what was going on, some agents told me that the amount was not charged, while some mentioned it was charged but there was some issue. Finally, an agent told me that they have fixed the issue and at the check-in counter I should be able to get the correct seat. However, at the check-in counter at ISB, I was told that they have no information on the upgrade and they can’t help. I had to yet again call the support line and ask for help. This time around they were able to fix the issue. I wasted about 2hrs of my time in debugging this instead of spending time with my family. This was really pathetic customer service. I switched to Qatar airways from Emirates and in hindsight it was a mistake.

Suggested solution:

They should reimburse for the time I had to spent to fix their IT issues. Also, they need to train their staff for better customer service and knowledge about the system
