Qantas complaint: Lost baggage without contact for 2 months. $450 withdrawn from my account for extra baggage without refund issued for 3 months

My complaint:

On my flight from Melbourne to LAX (booking number 59IDSA) my baggage was lost in transit and it was ed at the baggage desk in LAX that it did not ever leave melbourne. 

Firstly, I gave  my address in Chelan,  Seattle, for the bag to be delivered as it was promised this would occur within a few days. Even though I received ation it had arrived, it never did. 

I have consistently tried to contact the provided number and the phone will either time out or disconnect. On the 17th of July before leaving Chelan I had family call your helpline from Australia on my behalf (because still nobody was answering the provided US numbers or any of my numerous emails) to then redirect to luggage to Seattle airport as we were leaving Chelan and the luggage had still not arrived. 

Again, although I then received an email ation it had arrived at the airport it was not there. We traversed Seattle airport for hours to try and locate it, eventually we were told that a rush tag had been provided but never processed at Seattle airport. 

I then had to redirect the luggage to a destination we were arriving in over a weeks time in Mexico, Peurto Escondido. 

Three weeks later, I had been trying to call the LAX phone number every day after missing a call one week ago. 

I travelling for two months now without any of my belongings. The communication has been beyond poor and it has had an immense impact on my ability to enjoy my trip, particularly since I am an artist and all my required materials are within my luggage. 

So ultimately the luggage did not arrive in Chelan, Seattle airport and now Peurto Escondido, Mexico. All I am trying to do now is change the delivery address back to Australia – 29 Erasmus Street, Surrey Hills, Victoria 3127 

I have bought the bare minimum for what I have needed for my 2 months of travelling without any luggage. I made my claim for the money I spent on new luggage over a month ago. Now they are asking me to provide receipts for the contents of my bag which I do not have (I didn’t assume my bag would be lost). Also, still no word on the whereabouts of my luggage, this has been beyond ridiculous

Suggested solution:

Compensation for the money I have spent thus far on new luggage and if my baggage never arrived I would like to be compensated for my personal belongings
