My complaint:

I had a trip booked for New Years going to Lake Tahoe. We were suppose to leave for our trip on Friday Dec. 31st 2021 but all roads were closed due to a large snow storm. The news as well as online articles stated it was dangerous to drive up to Tahoe as well as no one was allowed into Lake Tahoe. I contacted Priceline 2 day prior to the trip date and explained my situation and got absolutely no help. I called the hotel and was advised not to drive and was also advised to contact Priceline for a refund. I called Priceline over 15 times requesting a refund, but still almost 3 months later am unable to get my point across as to requesting a cancellation due to physically unable to attend the trip. I ask Priceline if I speak to a supervisor and get hung up. Priceline keeps telling me the hotel isn’t refunding, but I have spoken to 3 individuals from the hotel who all state they didn’t tell Priceline that. I am now filing a complaint with complain biz. I was even told by a Priceline employee that if I originally called and stated I had Covid that I would be able to get the refund. Basically, Priceline wants you to lie in order to refund.

Suggested solution:

Refund me on a trip I physically couldn’t attend due to dangerous roads as well as road closures. The fact that Priceline would put people well being in danger is outrageous.
