My complaint:
I regret to share my disappointing experience with Opodo Prime membership and their abysmal customer service. Recently, I encountered a distressing situation where I was charged for Prime membership due to a fault in Opodo’s system. Despite canceling my Prime membership on time, I was billed the full amount. Upon raising the issue, Opodo assured me of a full refund, attributing the error to a system glitch. However, it’s been over a month since mid-February, and despite multiple communications, I am yet to receive the promised refund.
Initially, Opodo refunded only 65 EUR, promising the remaining 20 EUR would be credited within seven days. Regrettably, this amount has still not been refunded. It’s disheartening to witness Opodo’s reluctance to refund a mere 20 EUR, which might seem insignificant to them but holds significant value to customers like me. It’s concerning to imagine how many others might be affected by such deceptive practices.
I urge potential customers to exercise caution when considering Opodo Prime membership. Their failure to honor refund commitments and tendency to withhold funds under the guise of system errors is unacceptable. My interactions with a Customer Agent named ‘Arsalan’ only compounded my frustration, as promises made regarding the refund were not upheld.
In conclusion, I advise against engaging with Opodo Prime membership, as the risk of financial loss and poor customer service outweigh any potential benefits.
