My complaint:

From start to finish of my booking of a flight ticket to Germany, Opodo’s customer services in terms of communication and fabrication of the facts has been a disgrace,

They NEVER return calls since I first complained about losing a refund due to their incompetence, unprofessionalism, and lack of communication with the correct information.

I have called their customer services 5 times since last March as well as writing twice to Opodo’s offices in London by letter and twice by email, and not once have they acknowledged any of my communications.

I had booked a flight ticket with Lufthansa through Opordo. I had not put on my full name and was told by Opodo not to cancel the ticket whilst they were in communication with Lufthansa. By the time they did tell me to cancel the ticket during the final week leading up to my departure date, it was too late.

They said they would call me on the last day before I had the opportunity to cancel my ticket and receive a full refund minus 20% Opodo fees. They never called me on this day but sent me an email instead advising me to cancel my ticket. By the time I checked my email account with this information it was too late to receive a full refund,

I lost all of my money apart from an £82 refund.

Suggested solution:

I should be entitled to a full refund apart from the 20% cancellation fee detailed on the Opodo policy.

This continuous one-way communication has caused me a great deal of inconvenience over the past three months,
