My complaint:

I ordered groceries for my son online. I have never used this type of order before. So the instructions looked easy and straight forward. I placed the order using my PC Master card. This morning I received a call saying the order was ready, I said I had added to the special instructions portion that my son Todd Royle would pick them up. Was told he need ID. , so no problem but that he had to pay for them with a debit or credit card. I advised that he did not have a credit card and was unable to pay at the store. I was told I would receive a call back after the woman talked to the manger. I waited about 20 minutes and called Roco’s No Frills back. This time I talked to another woman who said her co worker had told her that all my son had to do was have his ID and they would call me to verify the purchase. After trying to reach my son who has a disability, and difficulty managing, and received no answer. I then received a call from another family member there had been an incident and that ultimately upset our family and the store. Apparently his phone was out of order . I called back to inquire as to what happened. The woman who answered , the PC express line wouldn’t transfer me to her manager and gave me the run around telling me the same thing I was told earlier when I was called in the morning. I explained that I was told by the second person that it had been cleared by the manager to let him pick up the groceries and call me to verify. I have been a loyal Loblaw stores shopper and have held a PC master card for decades as well as a Simple financial accounts. I understand the individual stores make policies. But I would hope in this day and age of computers an cell phones If they COULD CALL me this morning and talk to me , they could have called me before this became an upsetting incident. WE had planned to purchase groceries once a week from the Roco’s location , but that won’t be happening now, as well I am considering closing my Simplii accounts and cutting up my PC Master Card. It would be reassuring to know that as a long time customer my business would be respected and valued.
