My complaint:
I am submitting a customer service complaint by one of your cashier employees at Rocco’s No Frills at the 200 Front Street location (Toronto, Ontario). I was wearing headphones while grocery shopping today because I had just come from the gym and didn’t hear the cashier the first time when she had asked if I wanted to scan my PC Optimum card but then took off my headphones when pulling out my wallet to (1) scan my PC Card and (2) pay. When I asked if I can scan it, she rudely responded and said, “I asked you already and you didn’t answer, now it’s too late”, when in actuality, she could hit the back button and always scan it after (I’ve done it for self-checkout). I was so shocked when she said that because it was very disrespectful customer service. I would like to raise this with management. I have included a photo of my receipt to show the time stamp and reference number that I interacted with. I don’t have the employee name but she is Asian young woman with glasses and was wearing a face mask. She was working on Aug 24/2023 morning on cash. If you check the staff records at the site, the manager there will know which employee this is. Thank you.
Suggested solution:
Discipline/warning for the employee.
And also if possible, some sort of apology compensation such as credits towards next purchase. I frequent this grocery store a lot and don’t want the same issue.
