My complaint:
AS ISRAELIS WE NEEDED HELP IN TIME OF WAR – instead, we got ghosted by the companies!
Israel is going through a war right now and We could not go to the original flight (Air India via mytrip.com) of ours due to safety and security reasons. Even though we tried to explain them that our second flight (connection flight) is cancelled.
Ive spoken with MyTrip via chat almost a week ago. We agreed on a cancellation fee of 80€ 40€ per passenger. We are two passengers so total 160€ penalty.
I must remind that we are israelis in a war time. We need this service as a humanitarian help to save some money in a sensetive time where we couldn’t get on the original flight and go back home.
Mytrip would not sympathize with us and demanded the regular cancellation fee of 80€40€ for each passenger. After we helplessly agreed on it, I got email from mytrip.com that says my refund is rejected.
Chat is unavailable. Support is gone. Suddenly, theres nobody in customer service.
Unfortunately, that is the second time (out of 2) that MyTrip.com just disappeared when we needed them the most, and cant take any blame on them but on the airline.
Needless to say that the airline throws the ball back to mytrip’s court – and then the customer who paid money is losing every single time. SHAME!
To the protocol: people were stuck in different airports all over the world because of companies that would not get them on the planes even if they have a flight ticket. We didnt want to be part of that statistic.
This is an absurd that airindia cant understand our situation and mytrip is taking part in it
