My complaint:

My compliant about this Motel 6 is a hard one to deal with because the motel chain as a corporate entity has really seen me through some tough times that only one who is without a home can know. The motel was a place for me to feel human again and to wash off the lack of sleep that occurs when you spend nights outside diligently checking your surroundings to make sure you or those you care for do not come to any harm. Included in groups to look out for are the Ventura Police Dept who have absolutely no compunction about disturbing your rare moments of rest and will give you a court date before you’ve even had time to fully be awake. Additionally, you’re presumed a guitly party that needs to have your possessions (sometimes your shelter if you are lucky enough to have a car) taken from you leaving you with a massive impound bill along with whatever else the city of Ventura charges it’s less fortunate citizens. Sadly, their plan to combat homelessness is just to go to combat with the homeless. I don’t see how this will help eradicate this growing epidemic. The message seems to be clear as one business in Ventura unabashedly removes another stepping stone that used to give hope of possibly getting out from under this label of homeless. How could they not be so daring when the city police demonstrates this culture of action first and questions later? Don’t be naive. It’s always been a thing. You haven’t seen the parade of police that are sometimes bumper to bumper in the Motel 6 parking lot of the one off Johnson Drive in Ventura, California? Ask anyone there and they’ll have a story either about the new owner of Motel 6 and his dnr list or how they were harrassed for no legal reason by the cops. It’s shameful to see these two bedfellows get along so gleefully while someone of us are told we cannot have friends come visit us in a room we’ve saved up for and have rented. We rent these rooms (I rent these rooms) to get a night of real restful sleep. The kind you daydream about. Don’t day dream too long though as you need to prepare for several nights of being on the move just so you can stay awake. It’s important to keep moving. It keeps your from getting into trouble with those in blue.

I am troubled. Trouble by the fact that the owner of this particular Motel 6 can treat me like a child that needs to be punished. It is especially disheartening when that punishment comes from a vindictive peer who can do so because they are protected and leashed by a teenager whose parents are hardly ever home.

The owner of this motel 6 didn’t even contact me about why I am banned. I think this is completely unprofessional and frankly, and unsound business decision. I have rented a room every day these past few month because I am homeless but managed to get and keep that job. Most of my income has come to this location but the owner seems to be too arrogant to realize that he’s turning business away and making it harder for me to keep my job as I now do jot have an option of saying anywhere near where I work. The owner’s actions to keep. me from renting is in direct contrast to what the city of Ventura is trying to accomplish: to get people out of homelessness. I will keep airing my concerns to anyone who will listen in my personal life and in the media. This is wrong and I intend on making sure people become familiar with this unfair action.

I can’t do it alone though so I’m asking for help and hence submitting my wordy complaint.

Thank you.

Suggested solution:

I want to be taken off that list. If not, then show me exactly what rules i allegedly broke with proof of such actions.
