My complaint:

I have all correspondence and attachments regarding this complaint to reference if needed. I have proof this has happened to unknowing buyers as well.

I purchased a matching purse and wallet from Mercari for a total of a little less than $600. This item was authenticated by Mercari, which is a service they offer everyone for a $5.00 fee. This gives the buyer confidence that the product is authentic, in turn busting their sells. The wallet I received is so obviously a fake, it has no logo stamps nor is the product numbered. These are the 2 things needed to TRULY authenticate a product. I know this bc, Mercari has stated the only way they will even CONSIDER a refund is if I take the wallet and have it reviewed and a certificate provided if it is or isn’t authentic. I’ve gone through 2 company, both of which information I supplied them, which screen shots as proof. NO ONE can provide me with this service NO ONE, because the first step of this process is running the numbers stamped in the wallet. Well there are none therefore they can not proceed. Even with this proof they will not accept this. I asked them to have their company re-examine it, they told me, stunningly, I could do this if I listed this item and paid the $5.00 fee! WHAT!!! I am completely stunned they would even suggest that!!! I have morels and would never take someone’s hard earned money, as you all have done me!! I have spent WAY MORE than $600 in time pursuing this case and my refund. Their refusal to issue my refund gave me the feeling I needed to check them out more!! There are hundreds of products authenticated by Mercari (with the little 💎 sign) for the $5.00 fee, that are fake!! I have screenshots. I have gather so much informationproofdocumentation during all of this it is overwhelming and unbelievable. And all of it I have provided to the support staff and they DO NOT CARE, they do not care about all the fake purses that have already been sold (how are those people going to be made whole), all they are doing is pawning me off to another representative that tells me the same thing. It is like they are not even reading my responses or reviewing my documentation. They are just looking for a way to keep my money!!! Just like all the $5.00 fees they’ve taken from people to state their product is real when it’s not!!! And like I’m my case NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! Mercari has stolen thousands if not more from buys. I will not be taken advantage of!! I want my $600 refund and I should be requesting compensation for the hours and hours I’ve spent TRYING to get help, someone that could speak reasonable to put a plan in action verses giving me the run around until the return timeframe has expired!

This is something I will not let go, I will continue to push this issue and fight for the people that don’t have a voice because they have no clue anything fraudulent even happened to them!!! I am attaching the actual sellers pictures of the wallet so you can see there are no markings whatsoever. And upon request I can provide you with all correspondence and attachments between myself and Mercari Support Staff.

Suggested solution:

Except my return, issue me. Refund and honestly I should be compensated for all my time. Research and $$ ive invested in thus!!! Ridiculous!!
