My complaint:

On Saturday July 24th at 9:25AM, I asked the Customer Service Associate, Connie, to rent me one of your pickups. I provided all the requested information. Connie said my Allstate Proof of Insurance card did not include the expiration date of my current coverage. The card issued by Allstate provides the effective date (in my case, 021821 for one of my four vehicles) plus NOT VALIDMORE THAN ONE YEAR FROM EFFECTIVE DATE. I stated that logic would mean it expires on 021822. Logic did not register with Connie. She argued with me and said she would not rent the vehicle. I asked to see the Store Manager. She stated that she was at that time. So I left. I have enjoyed being a Menards’ customer for a few decades with no exceptions. Two of my relatives have been Menards Associates.

Suggested solution:

If Connie, is indeed a Store Manager, then I sincerley believe this letter of conmplaint should be part of her Human Resources file. Did she misrepresent her job description? I attempted twice to add of photo of my Allstate Proof of Insurance card, with no luck. I called my agent and suggested they add the expiration date. They have not had any similar requests. Logic implies the card is good for only one year. A person could have a card with the expiration date, cancel the insurance and Connie would rent a vehicle to that person!
