My complaint:

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding an experience I recently had at your store, which involves what I believe to be the improper handling of a rain check.
On September 9, 2023, I visited your store, located at 6843 Mission St, Daly City, CA 94015, and noticed that there was a sale on Master Catch Ras Shrimp 21/30 count for $3.99 per pound. Unfortunately, the product was out of stock at that time, so the cashier at checked out counter said could write me rain checks, as per your store policy.

The cashier issued me two rain checks, and I left the store with the understanding that I would be able to purchase the item at the advertised sale price when it became available in the future. However, on 9/14/2023, I stopped by the Lucky Store at 1322 El Camino Real, San Bruno, CA 94066 around 8:05pm, I was shocked and disappointed to discover that the rain check I had received was not honored. I was accused by a staff member named Patrick in front of all the customers around all the checked out counters that the rain checks I presented was invalid and fake, Patrick further accused me loud and clear that I had photo copied the form and filled out the items on my own, which was an insult.

This situation has left me feeling both frustrated, deceived and insulted, as I followed all the necessary procedures to obtain a legitimate rain check and did not expect such an issue to arise. I am particularly concerned that my trust as a new customer has been compromised (this is the only 2 times I visited Lucky), and I believe that the reputation of Lucky Supermarket is at stake if such incidents continue to occur.

I kindly request that you investigate this matter thoroughly and take the necessary actions to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. I also request that you rectify this issue by honoring the rain check I received so that I can purchase the Master Catch Ras Shrimp 21/30 count for $3.99 per pound at the advertised sale price, as initially promised.
I value my patronage at Lucky Supermarket and hope to continue shopping at your store in the future. However, it is essential that I can trust the store policies and the service provided by your staff.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a satisfactory resolution.

Suggested solution:

Apologies, honor the rain checks and other compensation
