Lowes complaint: Terrible Customer Service

My complaint:

We ordered a refrigerator online on Aug.15th, was given a delivery date of Aug. 30th. We called in on Aug. 20 to change Delivery date to Aug. 25th, which was made and ed. On Aug 24th we received a ation text of this delivery and was given a 2:00-6:00 PM window of delivery. Myself and wife took the day off work to make sure and be home for the delivery. We again received a text on the morning of Aug. 25th ing the delivery would be between 2:00-6:00 PM. Also checked on My Lowes account which said package was out for delivery. We waited until 8:00 PM that evening with NO calls, texts or Emails. Called into Lowes and got the run around and eventually was given phone number to customer service , who was now closed. Called Customer Service on the morning of Aug. 26th and was transferred to the Mt Vernon Store. Waited 25 minutes on the phone to talk with delivery manager. Was eventually told the delivery manager was loading trucks and would call me back(this was around 7:30 AM). It is now 10:25 AM, 3-Hours later and we have NOT heard anything. I then checked my Lowes account and it now reads Preparing Order, Delivery expected on tuesday Aug.-25th.

We cannot afford another day off work! And why were we NOT notified of the changes? Had we have known we could have worked on the 25th and took the 30th off to receive the refrigerator. We also had our old refrigerator removed and are completely without one for another 5 days. Very Very poor customer service, this will most likely be our last Lowes purchase, if this one even pans out.

Suggested solution:

Take 10% off the purchase to cover our lost wages and install for free.
