My complaint:
Approximately five weeks ago I purchased several 300gm bags of Marina Del Rey Foods Inc. 20-30 Frozen Shrimp.
A massive mistake.
The bags were purchased at a No Frills store very close to where I live.
After buying the shrimp, the bags were placed in a cooler – surrounded with frozen Freezer Packs.
Upon returning home – approximately 15 minutes later – all of the packages were placed into my freezer.
A massive mistake.
Upon opening the packages, I immediately detected the smell of Ammonia being emitted from the frozen shrimp.
Briefly, I contacted Marina Del Rey Foods Inc. to advise.
That was 30 days ago. During the past month my two voicemail messages as well as as two emails to Marina Del Rey Foods Inc. have been ignored.
Yesterday, I was finally able to speak with a woman who provided her name as Kasey Lin. She claimed to be in the quality control department.
After explaining the odyssey to her during our 20 minute telephone conversation, and providing her with Barcode information, Lot, Production Date, Best Before, et cetera.
She quickly seemed to dismiss my sincere concerns along with the fact that spoiled shrimp can cause serious food poisoning.
She displayed a reckless disregard in respect to my safety as well as a complete disregard for consumer safety in general.
The woman instead chose to call me liar and clearly questioned my integrity and motive.
I requested that she transfer me to her supervisor.
She promised to have her manager Grace Kim call me.
To date, zero response from Grace Kim.
