My complaint:
I purchased a flight to and from DPS (Indonesia). The ticket contained several flights and connections on various airlines. When I attempted to check in for my last flight from Austin, TX to Baltimore, MD I was told by the Spirit Airlines ticket agent that my flight had been canceled online by the customer. I tried explaining that I didn’t nor could I have canceled the flight because I was on a flight AND this was my transportation home. She told me to rectify the situation with JustFly. I made several attempts to contact JustFly at the following toll free number 800-717-5015 and once I entered my ation number, a prerecorded message came on stating that it would be quicker to resolve issues through their online chat on Flighthub.com. I submitted the inquiry and sat and waited for a response to no avail. I ended up having to purchase another ticket with another airline in order to get home. I received a message from a JustFly representative the following day apologizing for the “inconvenience” and to call back for any other assistance, but they did not leave a call back number and when I tried to call the number on callerid it was a non-working number. I attempted the online chat again today and have yet to receive any kind of response.
I did receive an email from Spirit Airlines canceling my flight and offering a flight credit to use their airline again. This is not satisfactory for me as I experienced horrible customer service from them as well. I had also called their customer service and paid $68 in advance to check my bag and select my seat. I contacted them to get refunded and they would not refund the total fee.
At this point I would like a refund for the cost of the Spirit flight and reimbursement of the $400 I had to pay to secure my travel home. I am attaching screenshots of my final attempt to contact JustFly.
Suggested solution:
Refund the cost of the flight that was canceled and reimbursement for the flight that was purchased.
