InTown Suites complaint: Substandard customer service, roaches, dirty, room missing promised amenities

My complaint:

Ive been in an upgraded suite at the intown suites in Jackson Ms for a week now and I still do not have a microwave. I have requested from the general manager who works in the office several times for a microwave. She has promised one would be brought several times. No microwave has been brought to my room. Intown suites advertises their upgraded suites, and indeed all of their rooms, as having a microwave. This one does not.

Also, the manager in the office is unprofessional. She often claims that the computer is not working when she does f feel like processing a payment. Having the guests come back to the office when she gets a personal call.

She leaves for lunch and is gone for hours. With the office calls rolling over to her personal cell phone. Shes very rude if she is bothered by a call coming through.

When inside the office the calls are usually not answered. The hotel has one phone number which they put online to reach someone at the hotel and they never answer these calls. Ever. Once at the hotel they provide the guests with a different office number.

The room itself has roaches. It has a big gap in the door where all sorts of bugs can come through. The ac unit blows dirt on the table and sometimes on the bed. The stove hood was not cleaned in ages. The rugs and chairs had deep stains. One stain appears to be black gum that has been in the carpet for a very long time. The room is missing blinds over the window and someone put up a white sheet over the window. The walls are chipping paint. There have also been beetles and spiders and other bugs inside the room.

The worst thing is that the hotel overlooks requests from guests. The hotel has also set up a system that makes it impossible for guests to reach the corporate office. I have called the customer service number several times and the agents say they dont have a way to reach the corporate office. All they can do is take reservations. They claim the form on the website goes to corporate but it goes to the property and that does no good if the issue is with the property.

The hotel is providing substandard services to its largely minority clientele. And they have removed every way to complain.

Suggested solution:

Put a microwave in the room. And do a better job cleaning the room and responding to guests. Hire someone who wont pretend they cant take payments simply Because they dont feel like it choosing to inconvenience the guest instead. Stop ignoring your guests when they want to have their concerns addressed.

Message to anyone renting from intown suites. When you enter the room document everything in pictures on your cell phone. Then post the pictures on Facebook to be time and date stamped by Facebook. Make them private if you want until intown suites tries to allege you made the damages then present them with the photos. If your room is missing amenities or is substandard.. be prepared to sue intown suites in small claims court.
