My complaint:
Instacart shopper support team was horrible. I called via the app because now we can’t even call and I explained that Walmart had no bags Instacart team said that it wasn’t their problem and that they could cancel my order I said no. A supervisor came in the line said the same thing but took away the base money and said I would get suspended I said no and then she told me I was getting 3 dollars extra and i should have been told that earlier cause that’s all I wanted. I asked what I should do now cause the stuff was no longer cold and I was not going to get tipped as well because of that and she started insulting me. I then started driving and took two minutes to answer her. I did not take the allowed 5 min. And since I took two minutes to answer she canceled my order without my authorization and while I was already on my way to the customer. I contacted Instacart back and was told my account would not be suspended and that I would get an additional 10$ for returning the items and that I would get the base pay. I then tried to get order but was not able to. I turned the app off and on and saw that my account was suspended. I called back and asked why I was lied to. I got apologies but no answer as to why I was lied to. These people I’m sure are all still working there and will not even get a tap to their record after they ruined my day and they made me not be able to pay for rent.
Suggested solution:
I did monetary compensation for the hours I lost due to the incompetence of the support team. I would also like for the supervisor and the agent before and after her to be suspended for a week or fired so it affects their pocket and next time they don’t lie and they don’t cancel orders without the shoppers authorizing it.
