My complaint:
I accepted to deliver an order from cvs for 1 item at a $9 pay out. When I got to the store and started shopping, the customer added 33 items! All these were added by a customer service representative because that many items added had to be approved. I then called customer service and asked what I should do and how much this would effect my pay. The customer service rep told me that he can’t tell me the amount I will be getting paid but not to worry and that I will be compensated for all the items added! So instead of shopping for 1 item, I shopped for all 33. The only problem is when they add items with the customer service rep, they didn’t give me any photos or any location of the items so I had to look up each individual item on google to see what I was looking for. (Took me 2 hours instead of 5 min to shop) I found all the items with help from the cvs workers and then delivered the items to the customer. Instacart increased my pay by $2 so I received $11 instead of $9. What could have taken me 10 min to shop and deliver, took me 2.5 hours! I don’t know anybody that would be too happy with making $4.40 per hour! That’s what happened to me yesterday, thank you for listening! This is your warning to not work for Instacart! I called customer service and they informed me that their policy states that I am supposed to get 10% of the amount of money the items cost that are added to the order but it’s up to the customer to give you that 10% in their tip………….
Oh and the customer added over $500 worth of products…..
Suggested solution:
Post this on social media for Instacart to see. Make sure somehow someway Instacart sees this. Do whatever you please with this story!
