My complaint:

Greetings,

I hope this message finds you well. This morning 12/28/23, around 10:30, I visited the Goodwill located at 2880 S. Alma School Rd. Suite 1, Chandler, Arizona 85286. Upon entering, I noticed a sign indicating that starting in the new year, the price of Thursday Dollar Day deal color tags for clothing and select items would be increased from $1 to $2.

To clarify, I approached an employee at the register to inquire about the current pricing for the items with green tags (applicable for today) until the date mentioned on the sign. The employee sought ation from the manager at the nearby register, who affirmed that green tag items were indeed priced at $1, excluding seasonal items. I was there and also personally overheard the manager’s statement.

With this ation, I proceeded to explore the store for approximately 30-40 minutes, selecting 13 items, all with green tags. Upon reaching the register to complete my purchase, I was surprised to find that the total rang up to around $26. I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the same employee, at the register, who had earlier ed the pricing with the manager. Despite multiple attempts to call the manager to the register, there was no response, and the checkout line continued to grow as only one register was open.

Eventually, another employee opened a new register while I was still waiting. Another employee appeared and contacted the manager via phone to explain the issue. However, even though the manager had initially ed the $1 pricing for green tag items, I was informed that there was nothing they could do to adjust the total.

This experience left me frustrated, as I had spent time selecting items based on the ed pricing information. The manager’s absence at the register to address the issue and uphold the previously communicated pricing was disappointing. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I had to leave without a resolution.

I hope this matter can be addressed and resolved ly. I appreciate your attention to this concern and look forward to a positive resolution.

Thank you.

Suggested solution:

Provide me with gift card. Goodwill sent me a $50 gift certificate before but it was a hassle using it at the store. Employees didn't know how to use it at checkout. Manager had to be called every time.
