My complaint:

My husband has a Goldman Sachs CC and I have a Goldman Sachs CC. His CC balance was $0.00 I made a large payment to his credit card in error. They showed the payment and gave him a credit balance. We asked to have it transferred to MY CC account and were told NO, they could not do it. A check refund is the ONLY way we can get the funds back. We received the credit refund check and deposited it. I was then told (by my bank) that Goldman Sachs put a STOP PAYMENT on the check and the bank reversed my deposit. I was then told by GOLDMAN SACHS that they WILL transfer the credit balance from my husband’s CC account to mine, which they did. All was good. He went back to a zero balance, and I showed a large credit balance. NOW, they CHARGED his CC again for the amount and show he has a balance WHICH HE DOES NOT as he DOES NOT use the card (and never will). Godman Sachs stated they see the error on their end, but it will take time to sort it out and he needs to make a payment. We are REFUSING to make a payment when he has NO balance on the card. I am being told that ONLY back-office staff can correct the issue, but we CANNOT speak to anyone in the back-office. I guess they do not know what a phone is.

Suggested solution:

Take the balance OFF my husband's card and get the balance back to ZERO. Reverse the LATE FEE and INTEREST CHARGE.
