After cancelling our auto-pay option in September 2023, and cancelling our service in December 2023 for the upcoming quarter, our account was debited without permission by GFL. The physical option to auto-pay was removed in September. A call to GFL in December ed that there was no auto-pay option, that our account would not be debited and that our information had been removed. Even after receiving a notice the EFT was processing, I was told this was a mistake and it wasn’t actually going to happen. It did, right before the holidays and after additional phone calls, I was told that Corporate had to handle the refund. After no communication, I reached out again today and was told that the refund could take 6 to 8 weeks. So it would be a full 3 months for this company, that was not authorized to take funds from my account, after providing terrible service, wants to give me my money back. This is unacceptable.
Refund my money ASAP.
