GFL Environmental complaint: Bad customer service/ extremely bad explanation of services

My complaint:

I was a client with Shiflett when sometime in 2021-2022 i received an email stating that GLF will be our new waste management company. Nothing would change just the portal where we make payments. I set up my portal and set up automatic payments. Last week no one picked up my trash. This week i called to find out why. I was asked was my trash in the bin? I responded yes both are full and now they are over flowing. The representative focused on the both , and stated that i am only being charged for 1 so she will have me pay an additional 10 dollars for the second one. Never once did she address my garbage not being picked up. I asked why are you charging me when this was my original contract with Shiflett never once did GFL send me any notifications , letters emails or anything stating that due to the change of company’s i would have to pay an additional 10 dollars a month. I have kept all my emails and there is absolutely nothing showing any price changes, or additional fees. During all this for the first time i check my bill and see that my monthly charges have gone up with GFL. I am now paying 32.50 for services, again something that was not told to me. When i asked about it, they representative stated that prices have raised, again why was i not notified? This price is without including the additional garbage can that they now want to charge me for so from 29.00 they are brining my price of to 40 something. What bothers me most is that this all stem from GFL not picking up my trash. Had they picked it up i would have not seen the rates gone higher. had they picked it up, They would not be charging me an additional 10.00 for a second trash can. All this but not once did they apologize for not picking up my garbage. So what i have learned is that GFL will continue to raise my rates without my knowledge, no email no letter, no call at there leisure . As long as they have my card on file they will withdrawn what they decided to charge. They will also penalize me for calling in, in this instance they want to charge for a second garbage can that has been here long before they took over the contract. So here is the funny part, this is all about principle how do you treat your customers as such. I figured i will stop business all together with GFL they can come pick up there garbage cans. Well according to GFL reprehensive they will charge me 50.00 to come pick them up. 50.00 to cancel my services. UNREAL. I offered to take the cans to them, they said no they cant have them taken to them. They asked do i want to cancel my services, i said no not until its agreed that i don’t pay those 50.00 but i am not paying the extra 10.00 so you can pick up at least one of those garbage cans. Well low and behold picking up one of those garbage cans that according to GFL i should not have and if i do keep it will cost me an additional 10 a month, will cost me 25.00. IS this a joke? this is all so unreal to me. Ashley felt like she did a kind jester and waived the 25.00 this whole experience has got me so upset. there is no way around this. somehow GFL customer service found a way to make the customer pay for not providing the services the customer is already paying for.
I have never received anything in writing, stating my bill was going up. I was only allowed one trash can or anything of such , nothing no email no phone call nothing on my customer portal nothing. When i mentioned this i was told to go to the website. this is extremely bad customer service. the representatives in Fredericksburg VA were horrible. honestly i dont want no services from GFL i just want both garbage cans gone and the 50.00 fee waived. I rather take my trash to the dump then have to be charged without my consent or knowledge for something that i was not responsible for.

Suggested solution:

what i expect from this is that both garbage cans are picked up and i am not charged the 50.00 for canceling any services or the removal of the garbage cans. As i stated this was my original contract with Shiflette and if all services moved over then this should have been addressed a year ago during the transition period.
