Geek Squad complaint: Laptop is still not fixed and its been months

My complaint:

I have taken in my laptop because it would not display properly and the keyboard froze or cycled. The lap top has been in Geek Squad since May 12, 2021. It has been in prior to this for the same issue with the explanation back to me that the technician could not make the issue occur.

On July 19, 2021 we had a pick up schedule. When we arrived at the location for pick up, and the technician was demonstrating the laptop it shutdown repeatedly. The technician said we had to pay $70.00 for some part that was required for the repair (that did not work). The technician then advised it would be best if it stayed overnight and they would text us with the pick up. We still have not heard from them.

This issue has been going on intermittently for almost 2 years to the point it is now as described above. This laptop was under warranty protected by Geek Squad insurance including replacement. Now the repair has taken so long that the purchased warranty is expired. Every time this laptop goes in, Geek Squad keeps it for approximately 30 days. This time it is obviously more. This is a lemon!!! And horrible customer service. I have had an account with Best Buy and purchased tens of thousands of dollars of items in the last 15 years.

Suggested solution:

With the replacement laptop that was owed a year ago. If not, with a working computer within 7 days, that has demonstrated capability at the level I purchased.
