My complaint:

Numerous times I call to file a dispute or somebody cloned my debt card and then my debt card gets stolen I call and 5/3 bank never shuts off my stolen debt card. The department says it was done but never really shuts the cards off so they are left on and thousands of dollars have been stolen from us. They have completely erased are statements from October to November to where we can’t even see them anymore on the app. The Branch in shorewood Illinois and Mokena Illinios and in Chicago heights and never give us all the statements so when we file a dispute it’s always wrong because we are missing more paperwork so we to go back numerous times to get the right dates correct and we don’t know ever if we have all the paperwork because fifth 3rd bank never helps when we ask for help. Then we had thousands stolen from us back in October 10th to November 4th 2022. And the reason we keep getting denied is because the banks dates are different from ares even on the app. People are ignorant and rude I ask for all my statements from those dates and they want to charge me 5 dollars a copy when u call customer service.I spoke with a supervisor Hope and she acts like she can’t do anything for me and tells me to go to the branch after I just explained to her what is going on. We filed a police report on October 19 th 2022 all are stuff got stolen out of the Palos motel we called the cops because we were supposed to have the room for two days and they just let staff steal all are stuff. Today I called to find out where my debt card were from two weeks ago and they tell me that the cards were never shut off and everything was still active. Thank god for the supervisor Arnold he was the most helpful person that I ever met on the phone and told me I had cards on that I never activated.and my cards that were stolen were still on when I called twice already and they were supposed to have shut them off from 14 days to two weeks ago. Fifth 3rd bank has made thousands of dollars off me in late fees but can’t file a dispute or turn off a debt card because they lie and say sir it’s turned off and your new cards are in the mail when they never did anything so shady of a Bank. They refused to help with this disputes from cash app this girl Jessie was stealing from both of us stole my wife’s phone and when I called on the 28 th of October because I’m seeing this motel charges are coming in that we had all are stuff stolen from now the bank doesn’t put two and two together seeing that the room was being rented out with are stolen debt reported stolen to fifth 3 rd bank well they never shut the card off again this has been going on for years. I called on October 28 they said the card was shut off and again on November 4th because they finally shut the card off when now we are out over 8000 dollars and the bank is doing nothing about this but denying are claims and no help from anybody when we have asked numerous times I’m so fed up with this bank.today I found out that they have different dates of purchase dates that I can’t even see on the app and again they ain’t investigating anything.

Suggested solution:

It’s not my fault fifth 3 rd bank isn’t doing there job but lying to there customers saying there stolen debt cards are shut off while people who stole them keep charging on your account and your thinking the cars have been shut off trusting your back where your money is at. I want full compensation for there mistakes not mine even investing the whole thing probably wasn’t even done go back and listen to the recordings which they don’t do unless they would have known it’s there problem. I want all the money that waa stoen from us 10/18/22 to 11/4/2022 because my cards were supposed to be shut off and nobody did nothing all the motels that were rented out on card 2021 and train there emolotess better and do there job so people like me don’t get hurt like this. And I want all my late fees back they do t deserve them.
