Etihad Airways complaint: False information by your call center twice

My complaint:

I booked with a travel agency a ticket from Cairo to Bahrain via Abu Dhabi. Etihad changed their schedule to a time that was going to have me miss my event. I tried to contact the travel agency. They didn’t have have any contact info, and if I wanted to change my ticket they were going to deduct half of the price of the ticket as penalty. I sent them emails twice without answer, so I contacted Etihad call center. The agent gave me another option for travel dates, which were again unsuitable, so I wanted to cancel the ticket and he said that he will cancel the ticket for me free of charge. As such, I said I will need to find myself another ticket first before I cancel. I booked a ticket with another airline and then called to cancel with Etihad, the agent I got this time told me I cannot cancel the ticket through them. So, I filed a complaint saying that I received false information based on which I made my decision. Before travelling, I called the call center twice to check on the status of my complaint and said I won’t be showing and I don’t want to be marked as no show. The agent I talked to this time said my complaint was still under investigation and that I don’t need to worry because the call between us was recorded and even if I didn’t show up, this call was proof of the reason of no show. When I came back, I knew that my complaint didn’t work and that I had to reach out for the travel agency to cancel if I wanted to get any type of refund and when I went through the automated system of the travel agency, they told me I was no show so if I wanted to cancel or get a refund, not only I will loose the full ticket price but that I will have to pay extra. I made another complaint with the whole case and especially the false information I got for the second time and I did not get an answer for 4 months. Starting the 4th month, I started to call every 2 days and and I would get the call us within 2 days, until finally they put me through the complaints department who told me they cannot do anything and that if I wanted something I should call the travel agent, as if they hadn’t given me false information twice.

Suggested solution:

Giving me some sort of refund to make up for all the correct info I received which resulted in me not getting any amount as refund.

I would rate my experience with Etihad call center as way less than even 0.
