My complaint:

I subscribed with eharmony and read the terms and conditions and thought I had a three day cancellation. Somehow I missed the section that only a few states are allowed this three day cancellation period. Is this discriminatory or what? Why do some states get a three day cancellation and all the states don’t? I see a class action brewing here. I emailed them within the three day period. I even got a response that said I would be getting a refund and they then offered me a monthly subscription if I would stay on. They don’t offer a monthly subscription any other time. I declined this and waited for my refund in three business days as the email promised. When I inquired about where my refund was, I got another response that apologized for the miscommunication and stated I wouldn’t be getting a refund because whomever emailed me before had miscommunicated. I emailed several times only to get snippy replies sticking to the fact that they are not going to refund my money and that I owe them for 12 months. Now I’m trying to take action. The more I do research the more complaints I see against this company and how they are handling themselves and refunds.

Suggested solution:

I want my refund of approx $77.82. I want no further billing or subscriptions.

I had exactly the same! No real matches in my area so I cancelled the subscription and they are unwilling to stop taking payment or help. I cancelled my direct debit and now they are chasing for payment. There doesn’t seem to be an ombudsman that can help?
