My complaint:

I flew on EasyJet from Schiphol – LGW on 23 September at 20:55. I checked in with my colleague. Her bags arrived, mine did not. My bag contains 2k worth of specialised equipment that is essential for me to do my job, alongside medication and another 1k worth of costumes and work-related items. I have had to cancel my work until I receive my bag. EasyJet employees have been less than helpful. I had a panic attack after speaking to one at Gatwick; a fellow passenger had to assist me to leave the airport because I was in such a state of distress.

I filed a lost baggage report. I was informed yesterday my bag had been found and I was relieved, but when I logged into my report today it says no such report exists.

I am at a loss. I can not get ahold of an actual person at EasyJet or at Gatwick. I have lost 3k worth of work so far and counting, not to mention items that are sentimental and irreplaceable.

The icing on the cake — my booking at special requests as I am diagnosed with PTSD that is often triggered when travelling. I tried explaining that this was causing my response to be heightened — EasyJet employee rolled their eyes at me. Even if I get my bags back I can say I don’t know if I will feel safe travelling with them in the future.

Suggested solution:

I need my luggage back, intact, ASAP. Ideally I would like loss wages reimbursed, partial or in full. And I would like an apology and a promise that their company will train their employees to respond to mental health concerns in an appropriate manner in the future.
