Dunkin Donuts complaint: Bad Customer Service

My complaint:

On this Tuesday morning July 18, 2023 at approximately 7:15 a.m. I downstairs to Dunkin Donuts to purchase a medium caramel ice coffee w/ cream and sugar and a donut. The gentlemen at the register was very rude to begin with and said he didn’t have any cream, the sugar was at the counter to his right. He rang the item up and my phone was close to the credit card machine and scanned my google pay before scanning my DD reward.

I kindly said to him oh no it read my card before scanning the rewards. He immediately gave me an attitude saying there’s nothing he can do about it. I replied with I am sure there’s something you can do about it. He said I will have to ring it up again, meaning I would pay twice. That didn’t make sense to me. I proceeded to ask him for a refund, he said he could not do that because his manager had to be present to issue the refund. I then asked him for his manager’s contact info as well as his name. He refused and said he wasn’t able to do that. I proceeded to ask him for my receipt. He aid he couldn’t give me one because he would have to get receipt paper from downstairs.

I didn’t get my rewards, didn’t get the ice coffee I wanted, didn’t get the contact info and didn’t get my receipt. Overall, my experience was horrible. This young man seem very frustrated because he didn’t have all of his inventory ready for the day and feel he took it out on me. However, after my purchase there were several customers after me and he didn’t treat them the same way as he treated me.

I cannot add a photo as proof because I did not get a receipt for my purchase.
