Dollar General complaint: Rude and disrespectful

My complaint:

Was followed around store but not offered assistance. When I asked for price of product she said these are the same price as (and walked over to a different location ) these. She did this twice. The xmas display had no price of products and walking back forth to find price seemed time consuming and frustrating and should have just been priced on display. She was sarcastic and made me feel embarrassed and stupid. She stood behind me at self checkout which I have never used but offered no assistance and when I did She snapped at me like I was irritating her. I felt humiliated and embarrassed and started crying. When I completed my transaction and got to the exit She exclaimed laughing loudly have a nice day waving with exaggeration. I cried all the way home was upset the rest of the day. Why did she treat me so awful? She made me feel like a criminal who should be stalked and harassed. I have NEVER shoplifted in my life didn’t carry a purse or bag only stopped to get a bag of flour it was the most horrible experience in my life. I didn’t deserve to be put through that and I will never again shop there again it was just down the street from where I live but I will go somewhere else to avoid going thru the humiliation of being treated like I was by the employee. Everywhere I went she was right behind me and when I stopped she didn’t offer assistance but said she needed something behind me. Everywhere I went? I am NOT a thief don’t appreciate being treated as such nor do I appreciate being spoke to like I’m a idiot. Like I said, I didn’t carry anything but my wallet with money in it to BUY my items. Now if I went in carring a large bag it would maybe raise concern of shoplifting. I will NOT put up with being treated like a criminal either because I am NOT a criminal!!!!!!

Suggested solution:

By being kinder and helpful and a lot more professional. And offer assistance when asked in a helpful manner instead of hateful sarcasm. Why not offer help since they are stalking you anyway! Maybe not make the customer feel in their way slamming boxes down on floor like they are too busy to help them. And put a price on items up front EVEN IF the price is on the product in ANOTHER Isle. Why should a shopper have to go back and forth to find prices? They shouldn't because it should be priced everywhere it is displayed. Also be available at checkout because some people prefer that method and need that assistance. They should get out of the shoppers way instead of the shoppers being in THEIR way!!!! Seriously and if they need to stalk every customer like they are shoplifting at least make it less obvious as not to humiliate those who DO NOT steal!! Be less annoyed and sarcastic when asked a question. Maybe treat customer like a person and make their shopping experience less stressful. Personally I would prefer they don't bother me at all and stay out of MY way instead of the other way around. The sound of the boxes being slammed down behind shoppers is unnecessary and annoying. Be there to give them a choice of self check out or employee checking them out. Some people especially elderly, disabled, children and people who have never used self check out need help (and without hostility from worker). They are there for customer service and they should behave as such because without customers wouldn't have a job.
