Dollar General complaint: Cashier refused to complete my purchases

My complaint:

I went in store on August 29th at or around 4:20 p.m. I use to love shopping at this particular Dollar General….others too in the past. It was always a pleasure. , I have encountered a not so friendly woman, and today she was very rude. I shop there at least 3 times a week… sometimes 4. I spend a great deal of money there. This particular evening, I put my few canned goods (stuff for storm) on counter (register for cards.) I was not paying with cash. I had food stamp card, and I ly paid for few non perishable items (in case of power loss from storm.) I paid with my food assistance card, and then wanted to purchase a small pack of tic-tacs. I had debit card ready to use…..she wouldn’t ring it up. I just wanted to purchase it and select cash back to pay my ride waiting outside in parking lot. She refused to sell me the product, and she told me very coldly that she would NOT let me purchase this one item. I asked why! She told me ,very rudely, that she not gonna let me hold up the line. Those were her words. I just had purchased almot $30 of food, and just wanted her to please ring up tic-tacs that I would pay for with debit card n hand. I was needing cash back for my ride waiting on me outside. Would have taken maybe 15 seconds, f she would have rung up the small item. Only thing she would say to me was….I’m not gone let u hold up the line! That was absolutely ridiculous. I have never been insulted and talked to like that in a place of business. I am highly offended! I spend lots of money at this business. However, I will not do business at any Dollar General again. F this person apologized for her rude and actually unlawful behavior, I might reconsider. She has no business working in the public. She needs job working alone. She certainly doesn’t need job involving greeting public. She is one that was holding up a line, and preventing a product from being sold. This would have been a 15 second transaction f she would have moved her fingers and sold it. I work very hard n the service industry. I had just gotten off work from hotel I work at….very tired,cans couldn’t believe what I had to go through at this store because of her. She was working around 4:20von August 29. I think she was on register 1 bi should have gotten her name, but I was in hurry ..had to go. She was older African American lady. She has always been cold when I’ve been there….like i said, I’m there a lot! I never have problem with anyone else ..ever. I would like an opolgy, because this was unacceptable. I do not want to due for discrimination. Thank you.

Suggested solution:

An apology from this rude woman. I could not finish my purchase because she refused to take another card so I could purchase one small item, after buying $30 of food. Usually, I buy $70 to $80. I spend a lot of money with Dollar General. I feel u was discriminated against for whatever her reason was. I was at register paying for products. I simply wanted to purchase one more item at counter. She refused to let me buy this item. This is not right. I feel very much discriminated against! I won't accept this. She needs to apologize. It is against the law.
