My complaint:

My father died if COVID and we almost lost my mom. As a result, my husband (who is a retired Command Sergeant Major) quit his six figure job and we relocated to our hometown, Ohio. We needed additional storage for just a few weeks until our house closed. There were delays our closing. When we were finally ready to get our belongings, the unit was very hot and humid. We had to leave for water and to bring in our other vehicle once. This resulted in the main door opening several times. A older white male, who identified himself as a general manager, hovered over us and then locked the main door. My husband is a service connected veteran and diagnosed with PTSD felt threatened and his space violated. This act of being locked in triggered mt husband violently. This man laughed in his face and continued to talk about a door. When told this is a storage facility and it is incumbent that the door opens, he replied he will just lock it. After my daughter unlocked it, he came and locked it again. We were told when we rented it, that we could block the door to allow fresh air to enter. We tried to explain this to the man, but he continued to talk about the door. He later said we were only getting it for free. Completely disregarding the fact that we paid for the space. When we checked out, Brad again laughed and said that he was filing a complaint against us. How dare an employee treat a customer this way. My daughter believes his actions were racially motivated as there was another gentleman in the unit when we arrived who was not harassed in the slightest. I request a call and a written apology from this vile employee. I will also post my comments to my thousands of social media followers. Actions such as being locked in a storage facility in the middle of summer is asinine. Your general manager, if he is in fact one, should be sent to sensitivity training or fired. I am certain there are well qualified individuals who would love a job.

Suggested solution:

I request a phone call from the corporate office and written apology.
