My complaint:

Your General manager at 380 E. Garden of the Gods Rd., Colorado Springs, Colorado has shown very poor customer service and problem resolvingmanagement abilities. She condescendingly left me voice mail stating that me or someone had accessed the property at 10 pm and stayed on site till 2 am. That no one is to be on property after 10 pm. That if this happened again, my access hours would be reduced to just business hours. And that this was my one and only warning on the subject. I should never have received a threatening message via voicemail in this manner for something that she could have reworded and handled in a much more fashionable mannerism. I did take her voicemail as a threat towards me personally.

She almost sang a tune of happiness ending her message. Having dealt with her before, and knowing the message that she left on my voicemail to be false, I knew she would be difficult to speak to. She did not disappoint. Showing a receipt from the grocery store that I went to last night after I had accessed the storage unit, proving that I was not there till 2 AM. I was however, there till about 1030. I went to the grocery store and left the grocery store at about 11 o’clock. I asked her how can I be in two places at one time? She sneered at my receipt stating that her cameras shows that I or someone was there till 2 AM? I again told her I accessed my unit just before 10 o’clock and I left shortly after. She became more condescendingly towards me, while laughing at me and what felt like her looking down on me as if I had no option but to do as she says or else. After her laughing at me, I told her I can simply take my business elsewhere. She smiled at me and told me to go ahead. I do not know what I have done to this lady for her to always be so rude to me.

I suggested to her that she work on her approach to customer service and not to be so condescending towards people. That it comes off very negative when working with customers. Her shoulders propped up her head well held high and she smiled as if she already knew this is how she was. She definitely has a superiority complex. She did nothing to try to resolve the issue at hand. She only antagonized the situation by keeping firm that her cameras state with a state. She simply could have tried to say well let me see if maybe my timestamp is wrong? It could be a simple error. Or let’s make sure that nobody has accessed your gate code without your permission. She did nothing but inflate the situation by being so condescending.

I will be taking my business elsewhere very shortly here. I do not want to do business with anyone who is going to treat me as if I am beneath them. I have called Larry her manager above her and left a message for him to contact me in regards to what happened today. I have yet to hear back from him, but it has not been that long since I’ve messaged. I should not be laughed at or look down the pond when trying to resolve an issue with management of a property that I am paying at.

Sidenote: there was witness to this incident when talking with the manager of the property. Another tenant that was renting a unit there at the property walked in with me as I walked in and bared witness from start to almost finish. I do not know her name, but I’m sure the management would be able to provide that information.

I sure do hope this is not how all your facilities around. Why would you have a manager who doesn’t care if she loses customers at her facility? That is bad customer service!

I’ve had provided a photo of my receipt attached to my complaint. I have circled the time and date that I was there, I have written on the receipt that the store has cameras to. That if needed I can simply go and show that it was me here at the store at 11:11 PM last night not at the unit.

Suggested solution:

An apology from her would be recommended along with a resolve mint on how she can properly handle her behavior towards customers in the future. She needs I would recommend customer service and management training. She should in no way shape or form be in the position she is in treating people the way she does.
