My complaint:
After a few instances last year with the exact same issue, the manager called me eventually and we came to a conclusion. Today history repeats itself. I get to the till. Greet and politely smile at the cashier. I then proceed to ask for a Aramex courier flyer bag. Which was met with a blank stare. The girl stared. I then asked if she knew what that was was. She repeatedly said sorry as if to ask me to repeat myself. Hearing my clear English wasn’t the problem. The problem was what was being said and what was clearly not understood. At the front of checkers is a bright big red Dropbox that says Aramex in bold font. Of which none of the staff know what it is and don’t really care. I pointed at the red box and said the courier bag for that. At which point she understood my clear English as cigarettes. I walked forward and said politely, can I show you what I’m talking about.? She did not want to see. And proceeded to guess every other word she could think of but none of what I said. She looked at me and said sir I don’t understand what you are saying. Courier is a English word. Flyer is an English word. bag is an English word. She called another girl to help. She rolled her eyes at me. So did every other staff member around. I asked the girl very nicely if she received training when she started. Because a product that they sell should be something they know. She ignored the question saying she never saw the box or knew what it was for.
I asked where the manager was and she laughed.
It’s a simple easy thing to go in the store and buy a product. I now have to argue and waste alot of time every single time I got to buy a courier bag so I can simply post of goods. But it’s a uphill struggle simply because the staff aren’t trained and who cares ? Clearly not the manager.
Suggested solution:
Train the staff!!!!!!!!
